School planning before moving
Match your address to the correct district and gather required information.
Your next steps
- Check the school district for your planned address. LAUSD does not cover every home in LA County.
- Ask how placement works for your child and situation. Compare public school, any choice programmes and childcare separately.
- Check current document, age and vaccination requirements with the district and official health source. Ask how foreign documents are accepted.
- Arrange a discussion about language support and any additional needs. Keep child information outside this public demo.
Check current conditions with the official source below. This is practical preparation; conditions and prices have not been independently reverified.
